Soldiers Mistreated
Posted by LPate on October 2nd, 2007 filed in UncategorizedAfter reading this story ( http://www.foxnews.com/video2/player06.html?100207/100207_bs_marines&Big_Story&Marines%20Mistreated&Marines%20Mistreated&US&-1&News&213&&&new) onlne I felt compelled to let the Oakland International Airport know how most of America felt. After searchng their website for an e-mail address that actually worked this is the address I found, volunteer@oaklandairport.com. Ironic. Here was my e-mail to them which has been forwarded on to several people in the media to hopefully disgrace this facility further.
Please relay this message to your management as this is the only address that actually seems to go to anyone for real review from your web site.
To whom this may concern:
As you seem bound and determined to get free labor for your airport, please take a moment and THANK those volunteers in our armed services for risking their lives for you. Your treatment of OUR VOLUTEERS is just outright appalling. These men and women fight for you to have the ability to speak your mind and behave the way you choose behave, even towards them, the least you can is show them the respect they deserve. These young men and women fight daily to protect you and serve you based solely on their love of this country and its citizens. Yes, even though you show no respect towards them, they still, without knowing you, will lay down their life for you. Can you not even acknowledge that?
Hiding behind the TSA guidelines is not an excuse. By the way, guidelines are just that, a guideline or a form of advice. In no way is this a law or mandated. The evidence in my statement can be found in the fact that your airport is the only one on American soil and most foreign soil to treat our military the way you have. One occurrence of this instance is a mistake in communication or policy, twice is just shameful.

Please feel free to E-Mail the Oakland International Airport at volunteer@oaklandairport.com before they shut the address down.
